Civil Disobedience?

Is it going to become illegal for my wife and me to educate our children at home? That's what some are beginning to wonder based on a recent decision made in a California court.

Who knows what will actually come from this ruling? (By the way, I tend to doubt much will come from it.)

What I can comment on is that in countless Bible studies that I've taught on the subject of persecution (for example, in Matthew 5) many students in those classes have uttered the question: "but how are Christians persecuted in our day...in our country?" Well, if this decision actually comes to pass, we may soon discover the answer. And if it spreads to other states, we may again get to see what civil disobedience looks like. Are Gene Edward Veith and Jonah Goldberg right? Are we really living in a fascist state?

Here are a few articles and comments that reflect on the issue.
